The 2015 Agribusiness Showcase & Conference went off with out a hitch! This year was extremely important to AAI and our members. Special sessions discussing key issues of 2015 in agriculture drew record number of participants.
During AAI’s Annual Meeting February 10, CEO, Joel Brinkmeyer & Design Alliance presented proposals & plans for the AAI office building remodel. Environmental Lawyers from Brown Winick gave thoughts and insight to the Des Moines Water Works suite and what it means for Iowa Agriculture. The discussions drew in over 120 members. The 2014 annual report booklet is available by request by emailing [email protected]. The brand new format/layout encompasses membership growth, legislative & regulatory wins, along with financial details.
The Leadership Forum featured nationally recognized speakers with a variety of professional backgrounds. We had a full house of agribusiness leaders and the speakers, we felt, were top notch this year.
During the two day showcase our events & speakers included CCA Sessions covering Big Data, UAVs in Ag, and Neal Vaughn, Fertilizer Administrator, IDALS, spoke to a packed room on the New Standards for the storage and handling of Anhydurs Ammonia. Along with the successful 2nd Annual Agribusiness Career Day & Job Fair. Over 200 Students learned how to prepare for careers in Agriculture and meet with HR personnel in hiring companies on Wednesday. Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Bill Northey presented the Water Quality Initiate Leader Awards at the All Industry Luncheon Wednesday.
We could not be more pleased with the 2015 Showcase & Conference. We want to thank all the Sponsors, Exhibitors, and Attendees! You make this event a success, year after year! THANK YOU!
