This week, AAI submitted comments to the U.S. EPA and Army Corps of Engineers asking for an extension to the comments deadline for the interpretive rule that outlines farming conservation practices that do not require permits and the proposed Waters of the U.S. rule.
AAI states in our letter that these two rules have the potential to significantly impact Iowa’s landscape and include considerable amount of materials and supporting documents that necessitates more time to provide thoughtful comments.
